Dalton Daddona commits to Penn State

Penn State football recruiting has added another member

The Penn State Football recruiting Class of 2019 just landed it’s eighteenth commitment. Bethlehem Catholic (Bethlehem, PA) OG/DE, Dalton Daddona, announced that he will be continuing his football career at PSU.

The six-foot-three, 275-pound senior is rated the fifth best offensive lineman in Pennsylvania, according to Rivals.com affiliate, PaPreps.com. 247sports.com currently ranks Penn State’s recruiting class as the No. 14 class in the nation, and No. 3 class in the Big Ten.  Daddona also had offers from Air Force, UNH, Robert Morris University and Cornell, but ultimately chose to stay home and play for head coach James Franklin and offensive line coach Matt Limegrover.

Daddona is incredibly aggressive and agile for his size. He’s a natural guard, who can pull and clear big gaps for the ball carrier. His hustle is great and he constantly plays through the whistle and looks downfield to make clean blocks on would-be tacklers. Daddona’s upper body strength is pretty incredible. He dominates almost every defender at the line of scrimmage. He’ll obviously be more evenly matched against Big Ten opponents, and three, four, and five-star recruits, but it’s going to be interesting to see how his frame fills out.

Several Penn State Football recruits welcomed Daddona to the Nittany Lion family, via Twitter:

Four-star CB Keaton Ellis

Four-star RB Devyn Ford

Daddona shared a special moment with former Nittany Lion star Saquon Barkley during Penn State’s homecoming game against Michigan State. Daddona and Barkely are both Lehigh Valley natives, and Daddona’s current high school assistant coach was on Saquon’s high school staff.

Daddona joins Caedan Wallace, Saleem Wormley, and Anthony Whigan as the current offensive linemen in the 2019 class.
