First Nittany Lions Hit Field at NFL Combine

State College or university, PA (WTAJ) – Three former Penn State gamers hoped to switch some heads in Indianapolis Friday.

Functioning back Miles Sander and offensive linemen Ryan Bates and Connor McGovern went through on-subject drills at the NFL Merge at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Down below are some of the success from Friday’s checks:


RB Miles Sanders

40-property sprint: 4.49 (tied for sixth most effective)

Bench Push (225 lbs): 20 reps (14th most effective)

Vertical Soar: 36 inches (tied for sixth most effective)

Broad Soar: 124 inches (sixth most effective)

Three-Cone Drill: 6.809 seconds (Ideal time of all operating backs)

20-Yard Shuttle: 4.19 seconds (3rd most effective)

60-Yard Shuttle: Did not contend


OL Ryan Bates

40-property sprint: 5.09 unofficial (Tied for tenth or offensive linemen)

Bench Push (225 lbs): 28 reps

Vertical Soar: 27 inches

Broad Soar: 102 inches

Three-Cone Drill: 7.45 seconds (third)

20-Yard Shuttle: 4.53 seconds (tied for fifth)

60-Yard Shuttle: Did not contend


OL Connor McGovern

40-property sprint: Did not contend

Bench Push: 28 reps (tied for ninth for offensive linemen)

Vertical Soar: Did not contend

Broad Soar: 112 inches (tied for eighth)

Three-Cone Drill: 7.66 seconds (tied for eighth)

20-Yard Shuttle: 4.57 seconds (ninth)

60-Yard Shuttle: Did not contend
