Manny Bowen will play his final college season at Utah.
The former Penn State linebacker announced the news on Wednesday, as he’ll transfer to the PAC-12 program once he graduates from Penn State in December. Bowen will be immediately eligible to play and will have one season of eligibility left.
Bowen had an up-and-down tenure with the Nittany Lions, as he was mostly a solid contributor when he was on the field, yet off-field issues routinely tripped him up.
The New Jersey native was suspended for the 2016 Rose Bowl and then missed the last three regular season games in 2017. At that point, he was removed from the roster before the Fiesta Bowl, and then reinstated at the beginning of August camp in 2018. However, after just a couple of weeks, he left the program to focus on graduating, which is now in sight as the fall semester winds to a close.
