Kentucky Football offers Louisville Cardinals’ Zach Williamson after dominant Governor’s Cup win

Kentucky left no doubt who the best in the Bluegrass is during Saturday’s 56-10 drubbing of the Louisville Cardinals.

Not long after the win, Mark Stoops and his staff hit the recruiting trail, which continued into Monday. It featured Kentucky offering a scholarship to one of Louisville’s commitments in the 2019 class.

It came in the form of Zach Williamson, a three-star offensive tackles from West Virginia:

The 6-6, 275-pound offensive lineman plays for Spring Valley High School in Huntington (WV). He holds offers from the Penn State Nittany Lions, Duke Blue Devils, Indiana Hoosiers, West Virginia Mountaineers, Pittsburgh Panthers and Vanderbilt Commodores.

Williamson committed to Louisville back in July, but with head coach Bobby Petrino now gone and no replacement having been named, you can bet Williamson is listening to what other schools have to offer.

As of now, Kentucky holds 20 commitments in the 2019 class. There aren’t many spots left, so they must have very real interest in what Williamson brings to the table. This class also just has one offensive tackle and offensive guard commit each, so Kentucky needs more linemen before this class is finished.

Here are some highlights of Williamson in action:
