This weekend, players across the NFL will express themselves creatively via footwear while raising money for the charity of their choice in the league’s “My Cause My Cleats” initiative. Players have the choice to wear custom-made cleats with the design of their choosing for causes that hit close to home from week 13-15.
According to the NFL, over 800 players will take part this season. Several former Nittany Lions will participate while raising money for a variety of causes, including some that are Penn State-related. The custom cleats will eventually be auctioned off with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the player’s cause.
