Finally, the Los Angeles Rams go down.
The NFL’s lone remaining unbeaten team heading into Sunday, Sean McVay’s squad couldn’t come away with a win at the Superdome against Drew Brees and the Saints. The Rams and Saints played one of the more entertaining games of the season and are beginning to separate themselves as the top two teams in the NFC, and maybe the NFL as a whole.
In the AFC, the Chiefs did what all elite teams do and win the games they’re supposed to win, topping the Browns and Baker Mayfield on the road. The Patriots continued their winning ways, beating the Packers Sunday night, proving their early-season struggles were a fluke.
In the world of former Penn State players in the NFL, Saquon Barkley was on a bye while Allen Robinson remained sidelined with an injury. But there were still plenty of headlines surrounding former Nittany Lions. Let’s start off with one of Robinson’s teammates.
Adrian Amos chips in during Bears’ blowout win in Buffalo
The list of defensive players in the NFL that have an interception against Nathan Peterman continues to grow with every one of his starts. Former Nittany Lion Adrian Amos added his name to the that list Sunday.
The Bears went on the road and beat a really bad Buffalo Bills team by a final of 41-9.
The Chicago offense wasn’t even all that overpowering on Sunday, but the suffocating defense continued to live up to its reputation. Amos’ name was all over the stat sheet. He finished the day with an interception, a sack and seven tackles.

The Bears continue to remain atop the standings in the NFC North and their clash with the Vikings on Nov. 18 has been flexed to primetime Sunday Night Football.
Jack Crawford, Falcons dominate Redskins
Needing to keep pace in the competitive NFC South, the Falcons got a much needed win over the NFC East-leading Redskins.
Jack Crawford and the rest of the Atlanta defensive limited the Redskins offense to just 14 points in the game, with Crawford coming up with two sacks on the afternoon.

Crawford now has 4.5 sacks on the season and his team’s 38-14 win brings them to .500 on the year.
Austin Johnson, Titans stomp Cowboys on Monday night
Both the Titans and Cowboys entered Monday night’s matchup in Dallas at 3-4 and in need of a win.
The game was tied at 14-14 after the first half of play, but the Titans defense shut out the Cowboys in the second half and came away with the 28-14 win.
Austin Johnson came up with a sack in the third quarter that stalled a potential Dallas scoring drive.

Jesse James sets a career-high in win over Baltimore
The Steelers asserted their dominance in the AFC North on Sunday.
Pittsburgh topped its archrival, Baltimore, by a final of 23-16.
In the process, Jesse James had a career-long reception of 51 yards on a drive that set up a Chris Boswell field goal that put the Steelers up by a touchdown.
