Oruwariye started all 12 games and was selected to the first team by both the coaches and the media. The senior potential first-round pick racked up 48 tackles and three interceptions while leading a Penn State secondary that was one of the best in the conference.
Gross-Matos, just a sophomore, was selected to the first team by the media and third team by the coaches. He recorded 54 tackles, 20 tackles for loss and eight sacks, establishing himself as one of the best defensive ends in the nation down the stretch.
Also receiving honors was Shareef Miller who joined Gross-Matos on coaches third team and was all a third-team selection buy the media.
