Penn State Football Recruiting Roundup: November 12, 2018

There’s been plenty of recent news surrounding Penn State football recruiting

Penn State football recruiting benefited greatly form  a big win against Wisconsin.  The Nittany Lions dominated the Badgers at home, in front of a bevy of recruits. Let’s take an in-depth look at what’s going on in the recruiting world for PSU.

  • OG/DE, and Lehigh Valley native, Dalton Daddona commits to the Nittany Lions
  • Penn State hosted a number of recruits on official visits against Wisconsin
    • Four-star running back Noah Cain (IMG Academy, Bradenton, Fla.) and four-star defensive tackle D’Von Ellies (McDonogh School, Owings Mills, MD) took official visits to Beaver Stadium. Cain was joined by his family. His father loved the experience and shared his opinion with 247sports.  The 247sports crystal ball has been trending in Penn State’s favor for Ellies. Ellies is a quick-footed, long bodied defensive lineman with the ability to eat up blockers and make occasional plays in the backfield. He’d be a great addition for PSU’s d-line.
    • Other notable attendees included six-foot-five, 295-pound OL Brian Malinowski, Class of 2020 WR/CB Caleb Burke, DT Jimmy Christ, TE Lukas Unger, Curtis Jacobs, a Class of 2020 WR and current teammate of D’Von Ellies, Class of 2021 RB Malik Newton, Class of 2021 OL Nolan Rucci (a Penn State legacy), and Philadelphia natives, teammates, and Class of 2021 recruits  Shafeek Smith and Saint McLeod. Another attendee to keep an eye on is Class of 2022 DE Enai White.
  • Familiar faces in the crowd
  • Penn State commits received their Under Armour All-America Jerseys
    • Devyn Ford and Brandon Smith will play in the Under Armour All-America game at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on January 3, 2019. The star running back and linebacker received their game jerseys last week. The game will feature the best recruits in the nation.  You can watch the game on ESPN 2.
