It’s always a chaotic game when ranked teams visit Bloomington. That’s no different today for Penn State as their degree of difficulty ramped up in the third quarter after Juwan Johnson left the game due to injury. Johnson was on his way to a bounce-back game of sorts before a left ankle injury forced him to the sidelines in the third quarter.
WR Juwan Johnson in pads but has his left ankle taped and is hobbling a bit on the sideline. No helmet near him.

John Reid also left the game briefly, but returned prior to the end of the third quarter.
Adding insult to injury was Garrett Taylor getting ejected for a targeting call on a play that injured Hoosier quarterback Michael Penix. The IU passer went down with what seemed to be a knee injury on the play. Taylor, one of Penn State’s standout defenders on the season, was judged to have lead with the crown of his helmet upon a replay review by the officials.
Garrett Taylor has been ejected for targeting. A big loss for the Nittany Lion secondary.
