IOWA CITY, Iowa – Ten years ago with the afterglow of snow a day behind them, the Iowa football team produced one of the greatest wins in school history.

The Hawkeyes beat No. 3-ranked Penn State 24-23 on a last-second field goal from backup kicker Daniel Murray. Fans flowed over the walls at Kinnick Stadium and flooded the playing surface. The upset knocked the Nittany Lions to 9-1 and the victory launched a 13-game Iowa winning streak.

Hawkeyes finished that season 9-4 with four straight wins and were ranked No. 20 in the final AP poll. Penn State still won the Big Ten title, but the loss derailed any chance for the Nittany Lions to secure a BCS title-game…
