At the last minute, the Southern Scuffle just may produce another breakout performance from another star Penn State freshman.
The highly-touted Gavin Teasdale will make his debut in a Penn State singlet tomorrow at the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tenn. The freshman, who was a four-time PIAA state champion, will have his redshirt burned and will compete as an attached wrestler with the Nittany Lions.
After announcing that he was leaving during the fall semester due to health issues, he is back with the Nittany Lions and ready to compete.
According to Christian Pyles of FloWrestling, Teasdale was seen walking in with the team and was added to the roster for Penn State, per the tournament director.

This will be his collegiate debut and could make the decision for the coaching staff more difficult when it comes to naming a starter for the second half of the season. The Nittany Lions will also be represented by Devin Schnupp at 125 pounds, and will also have Brody Teske wrestling unattached.
Teske was thought to have a shot at cracking the Nittany Lions’ lineup, but now it looks like Teasdale is Cael Sanderson’s guy.
Teasdale was removed from the Penn State roster after he announced he was leaving the school, but was added back to the roster on Monday.
Penn State has yet to respond to a confirmation request on the subject.
