Success With Hyperlinking is Full of Emotion

Lay down. Try not to cry. Cry a lot.

With Thanksgiving nearing, there are few things Penn Staters should be more thankful for than what Trace McSorley has done and given to the program. His name is etched throughout the Penn State record book as he will go down as one of the greatest quarterbacks to don the basic blues.

While McSorley will certainly be the headline of the day on Saturday, the Nittany Lions’ regular season finale against Maryland hold much more weight beyond Senior Day.

A win against the Terrapins could create an interesting situation as bowl season arrives.

Regardless of which bowl game the Nittany Lions secure, they are once again on the verge of double digit wins, and should give plenty of thanks to some underclassmen for the success.

Those underclassmen have made quite the impact all over the field, but perhaps most clearly in the Nittany Lions’ passing game, which has shown improvement in recent weeks.

As the season winds down, coaching rumors follow. Not even James Franklin is impervious to them, as his name has been linked to USC. There seem to be several good(?) reasons for Franklin to leave Happy Valley, though one major reason was certainly glossed over.

On the Ice

Another week, another outrageous goal for Penn State. After Evan Barratt’s lacrosse-style goal landed at No. 2 on last week’s ESPN’s Top Ten, Nate Sucese found himself in the same spot with a dazzler against Michigan.

Barratt was not to be upstaged though, as his four-goal weekend — including a hat trick on Saturday — landed him as the Big Ten First Star of the Week. The Nittany Lions are ranked No. 6 in the nation and will head to Columbus this weekend for a matchup with No. 5 Ohio State.
