Penn State has made the final four for one of its top Class of 2019 targets.
Brooklyn, N.Y., four-star defensive end Adisa Isaac listed the Lions along with Miami, Syracuse, and Texas A&M in his top-four on Thursday night. Rivals reports that a decision on or before the early signing, which this year is scheduled for Dec. 19, is expected.
In announcing his final group of contenders, Isaac said he would take his final official visit to Syracuse. He officially visited Penn State in September for the Ohio State game, and has since seen Miami, according to 247Sports.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pound defensive end is the No. 67 player in the country, according to averaged recruiting rankings across multiple sites, and he is listed as the No. 4 end in this cycle.
Penn State has long identified him as one of its top targets, and the interest appears to be mutual, as recruiting analysts for 247Sports and Rivals unanimously predict that he will end up being a Nittany Lion.
To date, head coach James Franklin’s Class of 2019 stands at 17 members and is top-15 nationally, but it has just one defensive line commitment thus far, rom Virginia four-star Hakeem Beamon, who is expected to sign in December.
