Worst conditions of the year

This has been a tough weather season at Beaver Stadium for Penn State fans. Unfortunately for the Nittany Nation, it looks like Mother Nature is saving the worst for last. According to WTAJ chief meteorologist and longtime FOS/247 contributor Joe Murgo, the Senior Day showdown between No. 12 PSU and unranked Maryland figures to be cold and very wet.

How cold and wet?

“It may be the most challenging game we have,” Murgo said, speaking from a weather perspective. The game kicks off at 3:30 p.m.

In the video above, Murgo lets you know what to expect for the pregame drive in, tailgating (for those brave enough to do so), the game itself and your drive home. On their own, neither the cold nor the rain would be a huge problem — PSU fans have dealt with both at home games this season. The difference this week is that it will be a difficult combination of the two.

We’re letting you know so you can prepare for the elements.

If the forecast changes over the next day or so, Joe will give us a heads-up and we will pass the information along to you.
